Veritek Repair Centre Specialists Upgrade Skills with Barco’s F(S)400-4K Training Course

Recently, two members of our repair team, Simon Elsey, Veritek’s Repair Centre Team Leader, and Repair Centre Technician Josh Drew, embarked on an informative learning journey at Barco’s F(S)400-4K service and repair course.

Additionally, they updated their knowledge and skills in servicing and repairing Barco’s F40, F80, and F70 Barco projectors.

Hosted over five days at Barco University within the scenic confines of Barco’s headquarters in Kortrijk, Belgium and led by Barco’s Mark Libbrecht, the Training Programme Manager at Barco, the course expanded our team’s knowledge and skills through hands-on training and introductions to new technologies.

Simon and Josh enjoyed a comprehensive curriculum covering topics crucial for effective maintenance and repair. This included installation, disassembling and assembling, calibration, serviceability, maintenance and advanced troubleshooting techniques.

Throughout the course, Simon and Josh engaged in hands-on activities culminating in a theory exam that tested their newfound knowledge.

Among the many insights gained, the opportunity to interact directly with Barco’s team stood out for Simon and Josh.

Their face-to-face exchanges provided invaluable insights into the products they maintain, fostering a deeper understanding of Barco’s technology.

“The benefits of this training extend beyond the confines of our repair centre,” said Simon.  “Barco’s projectors evolve constantly. The course equipped us with up-to-date knowledge and skills to diagnose, source parts and troubleshoot issues more efficiently.

As a result, we can enhance turnaround times, reduce downtime, provide customers with a good experience, and increase repair centre productivity.”

In recognition of their successful completion of the course, Barco presented Simon and Josh with a ‘Projection – Barco Certified Technical Expert – F(S)400-4K service and repair’ certificate, valid for two years.

Beyond the classroom, Simon and Josh enjoyed memorable experiences, including an Experience Centre Tour showcasing Barco’s latest technology and a captivating trip to Bruges.

Reflecting on the overall quality and effectiveness of the training, Simon and Josh lauded Barco’s team for their hospitality and expertise.
