Inside EBME Expo 2025: Veritek connects innovation with support

On June 25th and 26th, Veritek Global’s Sales and Marketing Director, Adrian Clark, and Healthcare Account Manager, Ryan Marchant, joined the UK’s largest gathering of EBME Managers, Healthcare Technologists, and Clinical Scientists at EBME Expo 2025.
With over 165 exhibitors, 65+ expert speakers, and more than 1,700 attendees, this year’s show proved once again why it’s a cornerstone of the healthcare technology calendar.
As a pan-European partner for OEM after-sales support, Veritek Global was onsite to connect with key equipment manufacturers and explore the latest trends in medical technology. From enhanced patient monitoring systems to AI-driven diagnostic tools and digital integration platforms, EBME Expo 2025 highlighted how innovation is reshaping patient care and hospital workflows.
A Pulse Check on Industry Trends
Throughout the two-day event, it was clear that connectivity, digitalisation, and equipment lifecycle efficiency are driving conversations across the sector.
- Yasmeen Mahmoud, Sales and Business Leader at HPM, Philips, highlighted the growing role of medical device integration. Alongside monitoring and ventilators, Philips showcased how its recently acquired Capsule Technologies Platform can aggregate data from multiple devices and deliver it directly to clinicians’ mobile devices. “It’s really about getting data into one source, then using it to make meaningful clinical decisions,” she explained, reinforcing the push toward electronic patient records and streamlined workflows.
- Andy Richardson, Anaesthesia & Ventilation Product Specialist at Mindray, introduced the UK launch of the next-generation V Series Monitor (VS9). Designed for high-acuity areas such as ICUs and theatres, it combines an enhanced user interface with haptics and integrated capabilities for defibrillation and ultrasound. Richardson emphasised the strategic importance of EBME Expo: “This is the biggest UK meeting of the year. Because the conference takes place within the main show, we benefit from non-stop footfall. The format makes it the best event for lead gathering and ROI.”
- Jay Aujla, National Business Development Manager at Starkstrom Ltd, described the company’s UK-manufactured theatre infrastructure and infection control products, including the company’s autonomous UV-C Disinfection Robot. He noted, “This is our second year at EBME Expo. It’s an expensive show, but it’s well worth it. We’ve already committed to next year.”
- Philip Caren, Account Manager at Masimo, emphasised the value of EBME Expo as a high-return event during a time when some trade shows are experiencing a decline. He emphasised the importance of continuous patient monitoring and the integration of data across care settings into electronic medical records (EMRs) to support early warning systems and facilitate safe, earlier discharge.
- Kevin Rowan, EMEA Manager, Marketing at FUJIFILM Sonosite, showcased the new Sonosite ST point-of-care ultrasound system. Designed for ease of use and requiring minimal maintenance, it’s a favourite among biomedical engineers. “We’ve been a regular at this show, particularly post-COVID. We’re here to maintain relationships, demonstrate our new technology, and answer bio-meds’ questions.” Rowan shared.
Why EBME Expo Matters to OEM Exhibitors
For original equipment manufacturers, EBME Expo isn’t just another date on the trade show calendar. It’s a rare opportunity to connect directly with biomedical engineers and healthcare technologists who influence purchasing, manage installations, and ensure the ongoing performance of their products in real-world clinical settings. Unlike clinician-focused conferences, EBME Expo offers OEMs access to the technical gatekeepers who oversee procurement decisions and long-term support requirements.
Why EBME Expo Matters to Veritek
“We come to EBME not just to keep up with the latest healthcare technology but also to anticipate original equipment manufacturers and their end customers’ service needs,” said Adrian Clark. “As devices grow smarter and more connected, so must the way they’re supported.”
Looking Ahead
“EBME Expo 2025 provided a glimpse into the technologies shaping modern healthcare and underscored the importance of robust OEM partnerships,” said Adrian Clark.
